Claudia Perchinelli
Director
Senior Vice President, Consor
Claudia Grace Perchinelli grew up in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of first-generation Italian immigrants, and came to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona. She wanted to be an astronaut but settled happily for civil engineer. After graduating, she spent a decade living in ten cities, including Boulder, San Francisco, and Honolulu, before returning to Tucson to found Structural Grace, a bridge design firm named in honor of her grandmother, Grace li Pomi DiFranco. Claudia believes bridges are intrinsically beautiful, and she brings that conviction to every project — among her local work are the Cushing Street Bridge and the Kino Parkway over 22nd Street Overpass. She currently serves as Senior Vice President at CONSOR Engineers. Outside of work, Claudia is a rock climber, a runner, and a mom. She has served on the board of the Tucson Climbing Project, which fosters youth empowerment through rock climbing for underserved youth — a cause that sits squarely at the intersection of her passions. The same resilience that carried her grandparents across an ocean shows up in everything she does.
