Location
Saguaro NP East
Description
Want to hike and learn how to better support our Sonoran Desert, too?
Join Wilderness Volunteers and Beyond for an on and off-trail hike to an area where we are working on the removal of a large Buffelgrass infestation, and to successfully managed areas. This will consist of 4 separate 20-25 minutes hikes to two areas each over fairly even, lovely Sonoran Desert terrain without much elevation change. This will be an educational opportunity for the participants and a chance to experience some of the most beautiful parts of Saguaro National Park East.
Morning Hike - 8am - Noon (16 participants maximum)
If there is enough interest, we will hold a second afternoon hike, 1pm-5pm
Parents MUST sign a volunteer form in advance for young people under 18.
We will carpool to the site utilizing a non-public access route.
